Our Story

THIS IS US THEN - CRAZY IN LOVE!
We met at at the beginning of the fall semester at college and were friends for all of that school year. We were the kind of friends where every time we'd see each other, our hearts would flutter, and everyone that knew us well would tell us how perfect we'd be for each other, but we just couldn't make the plunge to be more than friends (this is where our stories differ so I'll spare you the details and skip that part:-)) Then with a week left of school, we decided to start dating. (Which doesn't surprise me because we both work well with deadlines...which could also be translated as, we are procrastinators:-)) We found a way to be together for the summer and sold pest control together in California (true love)! We were married in the fall of that same year (almost exactly one year since we'd met. Since we had a strong friendship before we started dating, it didn't take long for us to realize we were compatible and couldn't imagine spending forever with anyone else but each other. We have both received our bachelor degrees and Aaron has his masters in the medical field as well. We have been blessed with three beautiful girls and couldn't love them more!
AND THIS IS US NOW - CRAZY AND IN LOVE!
They make us love more than we've ever loved, laugh like crazy, cry happy tears and sad tears, and pull our hair out at times...and we wouldn't change a thing about them! Since we've been married, we have lived in Idaho, New Mexico, and now reside in Washington state. It feels good to be out of school and "in the real world".

We knew our family wasn't complete a couple years ago and began trying to have another child. We were unsuccessful but felt at peace and felt that the Lord would bless us with another one when it was the right time. After a couple years, we decided to pursue infertility treatments. We began the treatments, but there came a point that we felt that was not the right direction for us at that time. During that month of treatment, we got the answer to our prayers, we felt we were not going to get pregnant with our next baby, we were supposed to adopt him or her. We have been so excited about our journey to adopt! I once heard someone say, "The Lord answers all our prayers, either our way, or a better way." I love this! We were once praying to get pregnant, but he has answered our prayers a better way for us, and now we get to experience the joys of adoption. We have had many friends adopt and we have been so touched by each of their experiences and KNOW that the children they adopted were supposed to be in THEIR families. It's amazing to see God's hand in their lives and we can't wait to see His hand in ours!
